Critical Care Outreach Teams support support staff and care for deteriorating and recovering critically ill patients and their families/carers across the whole hospital setting. Critical Care Outreach Practitioners (CCOP's) use a unique set of skills built upon existing professional competency and experience to develop a rapid and responsive, often multi professional service to act in the best interest of patients.
The Network Outreach Forum was launched in May 2024 as a joint forum with the West Yorkshire Critical Care Network. The forum is open for members of the critical care outreach, rapid response, deteriorating adult teams across the two networks who meet to discuss issues, share best practice, network and collaborate on regional projects to promote excellence in the care of acutely unwell patients.

The National Outreach Forum (NOrF) was founded back in 2004 by a group of enthusiastic professionals involved with the first Critical Care Outreach Teams. Since then it has evolved into a multi-professional interest group that seeks to promote excellence in the care of acutely unwell patients. NOrF provides a representative forum for Critical Care Outreach Service providers and recipients across the country who strive to optimise the quality of the acutely unwell patient’s treatment, care and experience.
