Critical Care on the Move.Welcome to the Critical Care on the Move transfer training course web page. This page provides recommendations for pre-course learning. So that you can get the best out of the face-to-face component of the course, we recommend you look at the resources below as it enables us to have more time for hands on workshops, ambulance orientation and simulation training.
• Pre-course introductory lectures (Transfer Basics, Physiology of Transfer, Special Transfers*). • SYBCCODN Transfer Handbook* This is an excellent handbook, filled with useful information about transfers. This can be used to enhance your knowledge following the lectures, as a quick reference guide or as a refresher following attendance at the course. • National Transfer Guidelines. We recommend you have a look at both the ICS (Guidance On: The Transfer of The Critically Ill Adult) and AAGBI guidance (Guidelines for safe transfer of the brain-injured patient: trauma and stroke (2019) on transfers prior to the course (the 'summary' or 'recommendations' at the very least. The course is based on the guidance in both these documents. These documents are available to download below. • *Please note that these may not be available prior to the first course on 11th July 2022. We are working as hard as possible to upload them. You will still have access to the materials after the course. Transfer Guidelines
