About us.The South Yorkshire & Bassetlaw Operational Delivery Network provides a source of expert clinical advice and care for adult critical care patients in Barnsley, Bassetlaw , Doncaster , Rotherham and Sheffield Hospitals.
The Network’s Multi-disciplinary Team work collaboratively to support the wider Network in providing equitable, high quality patient care that is consistent across the Network. A Governance Structure ensures that guidelines, protocols, clinical pathways and models of care and reviewed regularly and recommendations to improve services provided are identified and shared regarding good practice. |

It was amazing to have so many nurses from South & West Yorkshire Critical Care Units join the Network Team at the Intensive Care Society, State of the Art Meeting, which this year was held in Liverpool.

North East & Yorkshire Collaborative Benchmarking Meeting
The NEY Critical Care Collaborative Benchmarking Meeting was held on Thursday 23rd May 2024 at York Stadium. The meeting was attended by staff from critical care units across NEY, this included staff from SYB.
The focus of the day was benchmarking critical care nursing practices and quality improvement. Many staff from across units shared their individual QI projects, some of which had been undertaken as part of the Network Leadership Courses and others had been completed as part of Critical Care Courses. Networks Delirium Event.
South & West Yorkshire Critical Care MDT staff came together on May 7th 2024 to consider all things "delirium".
The day was made up of presentations, workshops and networking opportunities. To underpin the day, a Delirium Toolkit was developed to support staff, patients and relatives. The toolkit is packed with really useful presentations, videos, current literature and resources to use in practice. Please take a look and feel free to share this information to improve delirium prevention and management. |
